Dogs are  men's first pet and became our best friend because of their nature of being a sociable, loyal and protective companion.  Curious enough, their name is God spelled backwards, although the English word "dog" comes from the Middle English dogge.

Apparently,  the domestication of dogs started about 15,000 years ago.  In this long course of time they have tried to imitate human behaviour and lifestyle given  the proper training and domestication by pet owners.
