Message From Kit

Topic: How to treat your family members

A Sunday Message:
Just to share our pastor's message last Sunday:

1. Be Respectful.....based on Matthew 7:12..."In everything, therefore, treat people the same  way you want them to treat you, for this is the LAW and the prophet"

Our pastor was saying that we must be proactive by showing respect to other  people if we want to be respected. This is contrary to the golden rule which is more passive.

2. Be Forgiving....based on the Bible verses, Ephesians 4;32.  "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other just as God forgave you and  me".  Ephesians 4:26-27 (In your anger,do not sin; do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold).  As the Bible says...we must forgive 70 x 7 times since God has forgiven us all the time that we ask for forgiveness from HIM.  Don't let the devil gain a foothold on us every time we get angry to another person.

3. Be Givers, not Takers...based on Philippians 2:4..."Each of you should look not only of your own interests, but also the interests of others".  The point here is for us not to be selfish in sharing our blessings/talents/time,etc with other people.

4. Be accountable...based on the Bible verse,1 Timothy 5:4..."But if a widow has children and grandchildren, these should learn  first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and  grandparents, for this is pleasing to God". The pastor also emphasized that we must be responsible for the consequences of our actions.

5. Be a Dream Releaser...based on the Bible verses of Hebrews 10 24-25..."And let us consider how we may spur one another  towards love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching".  In short, let us be an encourager especially to our children so they can conquer their fears and achieve their best in all their undertakings!

Hope you learn something from this sharing!  cheers, love and God bless
